Lewis Hamilton, who shares a record with Michael Schumacher with 7 F1 world championships, broke another record – his first Grand Prix winning suit has been sold for as much as $241,000!

The Briton, who won his last championship in 2020, won his first-ever F1 Grand Prix win with McLaren back in 2007, at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The suit he wore in that race ended up at auction, where RM Sotheby set the starting price at $83,000 and sold it for almost 3 times the amount!

Sotheby gave a statement to Crash.net:

”The 2007 Canadian Grand Prix remains a pivotal moment in Lewis Hamilton’s career, etching his name in Formula 1 history and setting the stage for a legacy that continues to evolve, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and inspiring generations of racing enthusiasts worldwide. ”
