Charles Leclerc managed to snatch an amazing pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix, beating Oscar Piastri by just 26 thousandths of a second.
Leclerc, driving for Ferrari, set a lap time of 1:15.372. He will hope to end the four-year run where the pole sitter hasn’t won at the Hungaroring.
Lando Norris will start third, with George Russell next to him on the second row.
Aston Martin surprised everyone by taking both spots on the third row, with Fernando Alonso ahead of Lance Stroll.
Yuki Tsunoda had a tough qualifying, finishing only 16th, and it was his fourth time being knocked out in the first round (Q1) in the last eight races.
Pierre Gasly also didn’t make it past Q1, losing out to his Alpine teammate Franco Colapinto.

Lewis Hamilton had a particularly bad day, failing to reach the final qualifying session (Q3) on pace alone, his worst Saturday ever at this track.
