West Ham United secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Southampton at the London Stadium in the 29th round of the Premier League. Nayef Aguerd scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute with an assist from Thilo Kehrer.
Despite Southampton’s efforts in the second half, they were unable to find an equaliser. This win was crucial for West Ham as it helped them climb out of the relegation zone and up to 14th place with 27 points.
On the other hand, Southampton’s struggles continue, as they suffered their 18th defeat of the season and remain at the bottom of the table with 23 points.
In the upcoming round, West Ham will face Newcastle at home, while Southampton have a tough task ahead of them as they travel to face the current champions, Manchester City.
