Athletic Bilbao football club has hired a new name as the head coach, and it is the Spanish expert Ernesto Valverde.
Last Friday, Jon Uriarte was elected the new president of the club, and now the new head of the professional staff has arrived.
This will be the third time for the experienced 58-year-old expert to take over Athletic Bilbao, where he worked in two terms from 2003 to 2006 and from 2013 to 2017.
During that time, Valverde led the club from Bilbao to their first trophy after 31 years when they won the Spanish Super Cup in 2015.
He has not had a job since he was fired from Barcelona in January 2020. He took over the Catalan team in 2017 and with the team he won two championship titles: the King’s Cup and the Spanish Super Cup.
