UEFA IS READY TO PAY A LOT: Two billion euros for the Champions League!

The new season of the Champions League starts with today’s matches. And not only will there be a fight to “get the cup” but also for rich prizes.

This season, UEFA allocated a huge prize fund worth over two billion euros! More precisely, all clubs will distribute exactly two billion and 22 million euros!

And on the following basis: 32 participants will earn so much money according to the system just for participating in the group stage of the Champions League: 25 percent as starting fees (500,500,000), 30 percent for performance on the field (600,600,000), 30 percent based on ten-year ranking performance coefficient (600,600,000) and 15 percent are variables for TV rights (300,300,000).

More precisely: each of the 32 clubs that qualified for the group stage received 15,640,000 euros, while each win in the Champions League is worth 2,800,000 euros, and a draw is 930,000. Undistributed amounts (930,000 in the case of a draw) will be pooled and redistributed between the clubs in proportion to the number of wins.

Clubs that qualify for the round of 16 will collect an additional 9,600,000 for that success. Placement in the quarter-finals brings another 10,600,000, in the semi-finals 12,500,000, in the final 15,500,000, and in the cup there is also a check for 4,500,000 euros.

So, the European champion, in case he records all the triumphs in the group stage, can collect 85,140,000!

But that’s not all, because as a continental ruler, the UEFA Super Cup 2022 awaits him, for which he will receive 3,500,000, so if he celebrates in that match as well, he will be richer by another 1,000,000. In short 89,140,000 is the maximum amount that a club can earn from UEFA in the Champions League.
