Intense!! The UEFA delegation arrived in Tirana!

A UEFA delegation arrived in Tirana to assess the election process in the Football Association due to concerns about political interference in the elections.
They visited the Alliance’s headquarters to learn as much as possible about recent incidents caused by flagrant political intervention, the statement said.

Elections will be held in the Football Association of Albania on March 2nd, and President Armand Duka will fight to win a sixth four-year term.

He has been accused of corruption by Tirana city leaders.

Tirana City Assembly believes the vote was rigged.

They announced that the District Court approved her request for the restructuring of the Football Association in order to annul the voting results of the current leadership.

The city authorities have appointed new leadership, and the Alliance does not accept that.

During the three-day stay, the UEFA delegation will meet with representatives of eight regional football associations that have the right to vote.

After that, a report will be prepared for the president of the European House of Football, Aleksander Ceferin, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, and the Football Association.

Ceferin met with Rama and Duk at the beginning of the month, and after the meeting in Tirana, the UEFA president said that he “agreed with the prime minister that there would be no government interference, that football decides on football and that is what Uefa wants.”
