TEN HAG ON THE FINAL: Wembley is far away at the moment

With a new victory over Nottingham Forest, the players of Manchester United qualified for the finals of the Carabao League Cup of England, where they will fight against Newcastle, coach Erik Ten Hag gave his comment after the match.

That match will be played on February 26 at Wembley in London.

“Of course, we are looking forward to it. We have Wembley and a great Newcastle team waiting for us, but at the moment it’s far away”, said the Dutch trainer after the double victory in the semi-final of the League Cup.

Although the game was not at an enviable level, United won with a score of 2:0.

“Of course, when you win in the semi-final, everything is fine. To be honest, the first half wasn’t great. We played too slowly and didn’t create too many chances, we allowed them to run wild. The second half was much better, we raised the level of the game and scored good goals”, said Ten Hag.

Manchester United will play their next match on Saturday, February 4, when they will host Cristal Palas at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
