Morocco dominates Tanzania with convincing 3-0 victory

The African Cup of Nations has seen its share of surprises, but Morocco ensured there was no upset as they defeated Tanzania 3-0.

The fourth-ranked team in the world from the previous World Cup secured a routine victory in the opening match of Group F, and their task was made easier in the 70th minute when they had a numerical advantage.

Morocco took the lead in the 30th minute when Roman Saiss found the net, capitalizing on a set-piece executed by Hakim Ziyech.

In the second half, Morris Abraham, a player from the Subotica Spartak, joined Tanzania’s lineup.

Despite efforts from the guests to turn the tide, their hopes were extinguished after Miroši received a red card.

Uzedin Ounahi doubled Morocco’s lead in the 77th minute following a beautifully orchestrated play.

Three minutes later, Youssef En Nesyri settled the matter with another goal.

In injury time, Morocco had a chance for another goal, but Bilal El Kanus couldn’t find the net efficiently against the opponent’s goal.
