Hibernians became the fourth team to reach the semi-finals of the Meridianbet FA Trophy after defeating Naxxar Lions 2-0 on Thursday evening at the National Stadium.
Hibernians took the lead in the 12th minute with a lob from Brazilian forward Lucas Villela.
Although Naxxar didn’t play badly and occasionally tried to break through Hibernians’ defence, it was another Brazilian, Miullen Felicio Carvalho, who sealed the win with a well-placed shot that beat goalkeeper Andre Fenech, making the final score 2-0.
