The Argentinian stopper and soccer player for Ajax, Lisandro Martinez, became a new player for Manchester United as the third reinforcement for the club this season.
The 24-year-old stopper is only 175 centimeters tall, but he drew attention to himself with his great performances for Ajax in recent years, and coach Eric ten Haag decided to take him with him to United.
Ajax president Fabrizio Romano announced that the transfer was completed and that Ajax would receive 55 million euros plus bonuses, and Martinez signed a five-year contract.
He started his career in Argentina with Newell’s Old Boys, and before moving to Ajax, he also played for Defensa and Justicia.
He played seven games for the Argentine national team, and he is United’s third signing this summer, after Tyrell Malasia and Christian Eriksen.
