THEY WON'T LET IT GO: Liverpool fans sued UEFA!

This year’s Champions League final was filled with scandalous scenes, and Liverpool fans have not yet forgotten the entire fiasco before the match and are determined to heal their wounds of defeat by collecting old debts.

Liverpool fans have been labeled from many sides as the main culprits for the collapses at the entrance to the stadium, but in fact, the majority of them lost their entire evening.

They could not enter the stadium even though they had expensively paid tickets, they were targeted by the police and Real fans, and in the end there were numerous attempts to blame them for everything. A few hours later their team lost the final.

It is also a fact that UEFA is still conducting an investigation and has apologized to Liverpool fans, but also that the French Senate concluded that the problems were of an organizational nature.

Months later, the epilogue arrives. About 2,000 fans of the English club decided to sue the European Football Union for the injuries and psychological trauma experienced on May 28 in Paris.

Lawyers have been hired, and a lawsuit will be filed for breach of contract for the sale of tickets and negligence in the care of fans who have been injured both physically and mentally.

In its investigation into what happened, Liverpool collected around 8,500 statements from fans about the events leading up to the final and that documentation will be submitted to UEFA for an independent review.

The most important thing is that the lesson is learned and that the scenes like in Paris are not repeated in the future – said Bill Hogan, executive director of Liverpool.
