Liverpool defeated Tottenham in London!

The Tottenham team in the derby match of the Premier League lost to the guests from Liverpool with a score of 1:2.

Liverpool started strongly and in the first 10 minutes had two excellent chances through the Uruguayan Darvin Nunez, but his shots ended up right next to Hugo Lloris’ goal post.

The guests’ initiative paid off in the 12th minute. Andy Robertson found Darwin in the penalty area with a great ball, and after a great reception, employed a lone Salah, who shakes the home team’s net for a 0:1 lead.

Tottenham could, out of nowhere, equalize already in the 15th minute, when, after Harry Kane‘s cross and Alison’s unnecessary exit from the goal, Ivan Perii hit the post.

In the 35th minute, after Alison, now characteristically, looked for Mohamed Salah with a long ball, Eric Dier misses the ball with his head, hits him in the shoulder, and launches the Egyptian eye to eye with Lloris, and Salah does not refuse such gifts, shakes Ugo Lloris’ net, and makes the final 0:2 for Jurgen Klopp’s team at halftime.

Tottenham started violently in the second half, and already in the 48th minute, after great action and penetration by Perii, Dajer hit the crossbar. Just two minutes later, Sessegnon sent a great shot from distance; Alison didn’t move, but, luckily for him, the ball went wide of the post.

Liverpool responded in the 53rd minute. Salah had a great chance, again after an assist from Nunez, but his shot from 10 meters was saved by Lloris.
Tottenham were looking for a goal that would bring them back to life, and they got it in the 70th minute. Kulusevski found Kane, who, from a very difficult position, shook Alison’s net for a score of 1:2 and an eruption in the stadium.

Tottenham went for the equalizer and had great opportunities through Lengle and Kane just a few minutes after the first goal, but Alisson’s net was still.

Liverpool could have solved everything in the 82nd minute when Darwin Nunez hit the crossbar from the edge of the penalty area.

In the end, Liverpool persevered and registered a victory in a very difficult away game with a score of 1:2.

Tottenham remained in position number four with 26 points, while Liverpool registered only 19 points and are only in eighth place.

In the next round, Tottenham welcomes Leeds, and Liverpool will face Southampton at Anfield.
