LIONEL MESSI: Guardiola did a lot of damage to football

Argentina’s representative and the star of Inter from Miami, Lionel Messi, said that the coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, caused a lot of damage to football.

Messi said this because he thinks that many coaches are trying to copy Guardiola, and quite unsuccessfully.

Messi said about his former coach: “Guardiola did a lot of damage to football. Everyone thinks it will be easy if they copy his style. But, of course, this is not the case. There is no doubt that Guardiola is very special. Especially the way he watches every game, the preparation for the match and the way he exchanges tactics with you.”

Lionel Messi and Guardiola worked together from 2008 to 2012 in Barcelona. Many experts believe that Barca played the most beautiful football back then and that they won everything they could and that it was the strongest team of all time.
After Barcelona, Guardiola coached Bayern from 2013 to 2016, and since then he has been the coach of City.
