Croatian Mateo Kovacic was officially presented as the new representative player of Manchester.
The midfielder first reinforced the “Citizen” after they became European champions last month and won three crowns, along with the Premier League trophy and the FA Cup.
The contract with Kovacic was signed for four years. Chelsea were paid £25m, with the option to earn another £5m in bonuses.
“This is a great move for me, I can’t wait to start playing. Anyone who has watched this team knows how good they are, and for me they are definitely the best in the world. Joining this team is the dream of every soccer player. I have a lot to learn and develop, and under the guidance of Pep Guardiola I am sure I can become a better player. I want to help the club stay at the top and win many trophies,” said Mateo.
The Croatian international started his career in Dinamo Zagreb, and then played for Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
