The coach of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, finally managed to bring in a new reinforcement in the midfield, after Caicedo and Lavia decided to go to London, instead of the city of the Beatles.
The newest addition to the team from Anfield Road is the 30-year-old Japanese Wataru Endo, who comes from Bundesliga club Stuttgart in a transfer worth 16 million pounds.
The recent captain of Stuttgart has said before that it is his life’s dream to play in the Premier League, but so far there have been no offers from the island. However, Liverpool simply had to bring in a player in midfield, after Milner went to Brighton as a free agent, Henderson and Fabinho ended up in Saudi Arabia.
“I know how today’s football works. I see a lot of people talking about big names, how one team has this, another has that, but do me a favor, stop for a second and take a good look, he’s very good.” Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp pointed out.
“He is a very experienced player. The captain of Stuttgart, the captain of Japan, speaks English very well, is a good guy, a family man, a machine on the field and a very good football player. I am very pleased that he has become part of our team.” concluded Klopp.
Endo signed a contract with the Reds until the summer of 2027.
