Jose Mourinho leaving Roma at the end of the season: Could he return to the Premier League?

The reputable Italian newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports that Jose Mourinho could make a return to the Premier League. The same source indicates that Newcastle is interested in bringing Mourinho to lead their club, as his contract with Roma expires at the end of the season.

Newcastle is planning a managerial change, and they see the Portuguese expert as a potential solution. The current coach, Eddie Howe, has succeeded in returning the club to the Champions League after a long time.

Jose already has experience in the Premier League, having managed Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester United, so no adaptation to English football would be necessary.

The question remains about what Roma will do in this case, as they might need to offer Mourinho compelling terms if they wish to retain him and prevent a move to Newcastle. Mourinho has previously mentioned that he might consider coaching in Saudi Arabia at some point, and while he hadn’t contemplated a return to the Premier League, he might reconsider.
