West Ham United has completed the signing of Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United on a five-year agreement, with the option to extend for an additional year, as announced by the Premier League club on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, who joined Leeds in 2020, was awarded the title of player of the season in the English Championship for the 2023-24 season after scoring 19 goals and contributing nine assists. Although the transfer fee remains undisclosed, media reports suggest that the deal exceeds £25 million.
“This is the perfect progression for my career. West Ham United is an immense club, brimming with ambition and talented players,” stated Summerville. West Ham’s Premier League campaign commences at home against Aston Villa on August 17th.
