Former Rangers and England football star Paul Gascoigne is reportedly in stable condition after being admitted to hospital following a collapse at his home in Poole, Dorset. The 58-year-old was initially taken to intensive care on Friday, but has since been moved to an acute medical unit.
His personal assistant, Steve Foster, told The Sun that Gascoigne is “in the best possible place” and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support. Gascoigne, who has openly battled mental health and alcohol issues over the years, is said to be thankful for the messages from friends and supporters wishing him a full recovery.
