Bayern Munich have secured the services of winger Michael Olise on a five-year contract from Crystal Palace, the Bundesliga club announced on Sunday. German media outlets report that Bayern will pay €60 million (£51.5 million), including additional clauses, to bring the 22-year-old London-born talent to the Allianz Arena.

Last season, Olise netted 10 goals and provided six assists in 19 games, despite facing injury challenges throughout the campaign. “I want to prove myself at this level and contribute to winning as many titles as possible with the team in the coming years,” Olise stated.

He attracted interest from numerous clubs, including Chelsea and Newcastle United, before opting for Vincent Kompany’s side. Although born in England, Olise has represented France Under-21s in seven matches due to his French-Algerian heritage. He has also been selected for the French squad for the Paris Olympics, commencing in July.
