IDEAL 11 OF THE YEAR: NO MBAPPE, MESSI OR RONALDO

The end of the year and the beginning of a new one is an ideal time to summarize impressions. Numerous awards are given, and various surveys and lists are made. The one that caught our attention was the one for the best team last year.

The choice was made by the respectable L’Equipe, which did not include Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland and Kyllian Mbappe in the ideal 11!

Although on the first ball it sounds like there are not some of the best football players of today, the choice of the French seems quite realistic and objective to us.

So let’s see who’s on the list:

Goalkeeper: Edouard Mandy (Chelsea);

Defense: Theo Hernandez (Milan), Marquinhos (PSG), Ruben Dias (Manchester City) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool);

Midfield: Jorginho(Chelsea), N’Golo Kante (Chelsea), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool);

Attack: Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) and Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich).

The impression is that the truly best players from the previous year were present, and that the selection was objective and of high quality.
