HAALAND AFTER THE NEW GOAL: It wasn't easy, it's normal for others to adapt

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was very pleased with the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the 27th round of the Premier League, which was decided thanks to his penalty goal in the 78th minute.

“To win three points, to continue with victories and good games is not easy…Bournemouth beat Liverpool earlier, so no match is easy, every match is a struggle,” said Haaland and added:

“This is a nice stadium, it was a good match, I enjoy everything, I enjoy everything. Everyone knows how important this match was for us, and now we have to move on”.

The Norwegian points out that he was not worried when City failed to break through the rival’s defense.

“I was just focused on my game, like every time. Last time we lost to Palas 2:0, and now it was 0:0 at halftime. We have to play in different ways because people adapt to us. City won the title in four of the last five seasons, so it is normal for others to adapt”.

On Tuesday, City await the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 with Leipzig – after 1:1 in Germany – while their next challenge is the FA Cup quarter-final with Burnley next Saturday.
