Guardiola: We have to improve

Pep Guardiola, coach of the Manchester City players, congratulated Liverpool on the victory, and added that his team must progress.

Manchester City was defeated by Liverpool tonight – 3:1.

“Congratulations to Liverpool. In the first 15 to 20 minutes, they were better. Then we came to the game, it was similar in the last 25 minutes, when they left us space and when we tried to attack. We started well in the second half, the game was there. We played against a very good team, even in the first half we created a lot of chances. We still have a few days until the start of the season, I told the players that I am proud of how they handled themselves,” said Guardiola.

“We have to improve. The timing is not the most favorable, especially because in the next month we need training and matches to raise the tempo. We will do that,” concluded the City manager.
