Guardiola's assistant left City

Former assistant coach of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, Juan Manuel Luglio, left Manchester City and was appointed the new head of the professional staff of Qatar’s Al Sadd.
The Spaniard has been Pep Guardiola’s first assistant since June 2020, and this is not the first collaboration between the two because they previously collaborated in the 2005/06 season, when he was the coach and Guardiola a player of Mexican Dorados.

With City, he won two consecutive Premier League titles.

“The time spent in Manchester City was one of the most pleasant periods in my career. It was a pleasure to work together with Pep, his associates and this group of players, and I hope that in some way I contributed to the fantastic success “, said Liljo.

Former Italian football player Enzo Maresca, who already worked in the City youth team, and was the coach of Parma last season, will be appointed assistant coach in City.
