Alexis Sanchez wants to return to Inter Milan, Italian media reports, and the president of the Nerazzurri confirmed the news.
“Corea wants more space, but let’s work on the return of Sanchez. Alexis sent us a clear message about his desire to rejoin Inter“, said the sports director of the Italian team, Giuseppe Marotta.
Sanchez spent last season in Olympique de Marseille, and is currently out of contract, as his contract with the French club has expired.
Italian media reports that the Chilean and the representatives of Inter want the Chilean footballer to join the Milanese club.
The Chilean footballer played for Inter from 2019 to 2022 and scored 20 goals in 109 games.
Alexis offered himself through his managers to Inter, who are still looking for a striker. Romelu Lukaku returned to Chelsea, disappointed everyone at Inter due to negotiations with Juventus, while Edin Dzeko left for Fenerbahce.
Marcus Thiram has arrived, but it’s not enough, Inter are looking for another striker in the rotation, and Sanchez is hoping he could get an offer. He is reportedly asking for “only” three million euros per season, which is much less than he earned at “Giuseppe Meazza” from 2019 to 2022.
