English goalkeeper Ben Foster ended his goalkeeping career at the age of 40.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper’s last club in his career was Wrexham, with whom he won a place in League 2 last season, that is, in the fourth rank of professional football on the Island.
Foster played a big role in the decisive match for promotion to a higher rank, as he managed to save a penalty in the end of the match and thus sent the Welsh club to a higher rank.
The experienced goalkeeper once reached the jersey of the England national team, for which he defended in eight matches, and was part of the team at the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
Foster grew up in the ranks of Stoke, from where he moved to Manchester United in 2005. He played 23 matches for the team from Old Trafford, but was mostly on loan.
After leaving the famous club, he defended with great success for West Bromwich Albion and Watford.
With the Red Devils, he won two titles in the Premier League and three League Cups.
