Ajax are close to signing Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko on a six-month loan, according to reports in the Netherlands.
The 29-year-old Ukrainian spent the last six months on loan at Nottingham Forest, but only played five Premier League matches.
Dutch newspapers, including De Telegraaf and Voetbal International, say Ajax are in the final stages of talks with Arsenal to complete the deal.
Zinchenko’s contract at Arsenal runs out this summer, which could give both the player and Ajax the chance to look at a longer stay in Amsterdam.
Ajax are looking to strengthen their full-back positions after allowing Anton Gaaei and Owen Wijndal to leave during this transfer window.
Zinchenko would add experience to a young Ajax squad. He has played 150 Premier League games and has been capped 75 times by Ukraine. He also knows Dutch football well, having spent the 2016/17 season on loan at PSV.
