Eddie Howe: We deserved a victory, we were better

After the draw against Manchester United (1:1), Newcastle manager Eddie Howe was disappointed that his team missed the triumph.

Newcastle was for the most part a better rival but missed the chance to win three important points.

“I am just frustrated. I can’t praise the players enough. It was a great game. I’m really pleased. We deserved to win. “It’s a terrible feeling not to get what you deserve,” said Eddie Howe.

In addition to the two lost points, injuries to Callum Wilson and Saint-Maximin could be a problem.

“I don’t know what to say, they are our two key players. Callum’s injury looks much more serious, I hope Saint-Maximin will not be absent for more than a couple of weeks. It’s hard to say now. We desperately need them… ”

Newcastle will play against Everton tomorrow, thus lowering the curtain on the calendar year.
