Manchester City captain Kevin de Bruyne was injured already in the first round of the Premier League against Burnley.
He hasn’t returned to the field yet, and there’s a good chance he won’t be back before February. The club told him that they will not talk to him about a new collaboration until he recovers.
Manchester City has an excellent team even without him and is stepping on everything in order, but Kevin de Bruyne is such a player that they cannot easily find an adequate replacement for him.
De Bruyne is under contract until 2025, but will be very close to the final year of his contract, so the question is whether he will extend his contract or whether City will take the opportunity to sell him.
City’s attitude towards De Bruyne could send him to the Middle East as such a call is sure to come his way.
He spent eight years at City and matured in football at this club and won everything he could as the team’s best player.
