To date, we certainly knew 25 of the 26 direct participants in the next season of the Champions League, and with the end of the Premier League, we got the last participant out of qualifying!
First of all, let us mention that this is not the final list and that six more clubs are waiting to come from the qualifications. Four from the champion’s path and two from the non-champion path.
Today, with the victory over Norwich, the Tottenham players secured the last free place outside the qualifications and thus gave us a complete list of 26 teams:
England: Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham;
Germany: Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Leipzig, Eintracht (Europa League winner);
Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid;
Italy: Milan, Inter, Napoli, Juventus;
France: Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille;
Portugal: Porto, Sporting;
Scotland: Celtic;
The Netherlands: Ajax;
Belgium: Club Brugge;
Ukraine: Shakhtar;
Austria: Salzburg.
We will find out the remaining six teams only at the end of August…
