Former Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who spent 21 seasons at the Turin club, said that Juve lost team DNA with the arrival of Ronaldo.
“Juventus could have won the Champions League in the first season when Ronaldo came, but they didn’t, and I couldn’t conclude what happened. That was the season I spent at PSG, “said Buffon.
He spent only one season with PSG, after which he returned to Juventus.
“When I returned to Juve I worked with Ronaldo for two years and we got along well. But I think the club has lost team DNA. In 2017, we played in the Champions League final and we were a team full of experience, but more importantly, we acted as a group. There was a competitive spirit within the group, and with the arrival of Ronaldo we lost that, ”said Buffon.
He won ten Italian championship titles with the Italian club, but never managed to win the Champions League.
This summer he returned to second division Parma where he began his goalkeeping career.
