WHO NEEDS VAR: Brighton outclassed Leicester - McAllister's goal of the season was canceled! (VIDEO)

Brighton players defeated Leicester 5:2 in the sixth round of the Premier League, and the match was marked by Alexis McAllister’s canceled goal of the season after an intervention from the VAR room.

Brendan Rodgers’ team is in a desperate series and they entered this match in the last place with only one point from five matches, and the crisis since the start of the season only deepened after the convincing defeat.

However, the “Foxes” may have hoped for a different epilogue after the leading goal scored by Kelechi Iheanacho after a pass from Patson Daka in the second minute of the game.

Instead – a cold shower. In the 10th minute, Solly March headed a shot, and the ball hit the Leicester defender, Luke Thomas, who scored an own goal. Just five minutes later, Moises Kaisedo gave Brighton the lead.

Patson Daka showed that he is the only bright link in the Lisica team with a goal in the 33rd minute. He broke Dak himself in front of the Brighton goalkeeper and put the ball into the net without any major problems for 2:2, which was the final score at halftime.

In the following, we watched only one team on the field. Already in the 47th minute, Brighton took the lead again, but Alexis McAllister’s goal, which is probably the best goal since the beginning of the new season, was canceled after checking in the VAR room due to offside.

What didn’t happen then, happened 17 minutes later. Pascal Gross sent a cross into the penalty area, and Gross reacted brilliantly, giving Brighton the advantage.

The fourth goal for Brighton was scored by McAllister, which somewhat “compensated” for the canceled goal. He fouled Ndidi in his Sheasnester, after which he took a penalty that McAllister routinely converted. By the end of the match, the same player scored another goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time, spoiling the final score – 5:2.

This is Brighton’s fourth win of the season from six games and they currently occupy the fourth position in the table, while Leicester is the Premier League’s worst team with just one point from six games.
