The once great talent of world football, from a Serbian father and a Spanish mother, will soon receive a position in Barcelona.
Namely, Bojan Krkić joined the team of the legendary Deco, who holds the position of sports director of the Catalan club and will be of help to the Portuguese.
Bojan Krkić’s main role will be taking care of young players and helping them adapt to the demands of senior football. Players going out on loan will maintain a relationship with Bojan, after the club noticed that players sometimes felt a bit abandoned during loan spells.
He will monitor their progress, taking on a responsibility that already exists at most big clubs.
The youngsters who enter the first team will have help from Krkić who will help them in their adaptation. If anyone has survived the pressures and challenges that come with sudden fame and induction into the professional locker room, it’s Krkić.
He was open about his mental struggles after breaking into the first team, suffering from panic attacks and anxiety which greatly affected his career.
