Manchester City Women’s Football Club has accepted Barcelona’s offer for Keira Walsh, who will become the most expensive footballer in history by moving to Catalonia.
Walsh accepted an offer from Barcelona a year before the end of her contract with City and is expected to undergo a medical soon and join her new teammates.
The Catalan giant will pay a record 400,000 euros for the services of the midfielder, which is the most expensive transfer in women’s football ever.
The previous record was held by Pernille Herder when she moved from Wolfsburg to Chelsea in September 2020 for around 350,000 euros.
By the way, City rejected several offers from Barca during the summer transfer window, but in the end they gave in and earned a great deal.
