Mikel Arteta could be Carlo Ancelotti’s successor on the Real Madrid bench.
Mikel started his coaching career as Pep Guardiola’s assistant in Manchester City, and now he is just ahead of his City in the race for first place in the Premier League. Arsenal is never closer to returning the championship title to their showcases after the Arsene Wenger era.
However, Arteta may not see it. Foreign media published the news that Arteta is the main candidate for Real Madrid’s bench, should Carlo Ancelotti go to Brazil. Brazil was left without a coach after the World Cup in Qatar, as it was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Croatia.
Yesterday, Real Madrid humiliated Barcelona with a 4:0 away win and qualified for the Copa del Rey final, but Ancelotti’s future at the Madrid club is still uncertain, as Barcelona have an advantage over the Kings in the championship.
Even so, the job of coach of Brazil could be a new career challenge for Ancelotti. The question is certainly how much Arteta is interested in the job at the moment, because he is making history with Arsenal.
