Arsenal sent a new offer to Ajax of 45 million euros for the Dutch national team member Jurrien Timber, according to the British media.
Ajax rejected the first offer of the London club, which amounted to 35 million euros.
The British media report that the Dutch footballer is interested in joining the ranks of the Gunners, and he has reportedly already agreed on the personal terms of the contract with the Arsenal club until June 30, 2028.
However, Arsenal and Ajax must agree on the amount of the compensation before the transfer can be implemented.
Timber is 22 years old and has a contract with Ajax until June 30, 2025, and Transfermarkt estimates that his value on the football market is around 42 million euros.
Timber played 121 matches for Ajax’s first team and scored six goals. He played 15 games for the Dutch national team.
