As announced this morning, Antonio Conte has been officially promoted to the new coach of Tottenham.
Conte signed a contract for the team from North London until 2023, with the possibility of extending the cooperation.
The Italian is returning to the Premier League, where he was previously the manager of Chelsea from 2016 to 2018.
– I am very happy that I have returned to the coaching job, and I even prefer that I will be the coach in the Premier League of the team that has the highest ambitions. The expert revealed that he had an offer from Tottenham during the summer, but he did not feel that it was the right time to come to London.
– The cooperation with Tottenham did not happen during the summer, because I still felt an emotional connection with Inter and what happened at the end of the season, so I thought it was not the right time to return to work. However, the enthusiasm and determination of Daniel Levi in the desire to entrust me with this task have already left a great impression on me. Now that the opportunity has returned, I have decided to use it with great confidence – Conte concluded.
Tottenham could not get a better coach than Conte at this moment. However, it is known that Conte has his own principles and methodology of work, so it will be very interesting how it will work in North London, having in mind the profile of the players available.
