At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Marsaxlokk maintained their strong form with a 3-1 victory over Melita in the 360Sports Malta Premier League Bottom Six. This win saw the Southsiders level on 18 points with Gzira United at the top of the Bottom Six table.
Argentinian defender Lucas Lopez gave Marsaxlokk the lead in the 37th minute with a well-placed header from a Messias corner.
In the 52nd minute, Yuri Messias extended Marsaxlokk’s advantage with a low-driven shot, making it 2-0.
Melita responded with a stunning strike from outside the box by Alan Brog Olivier, pulling one back to make it 2-1.
However, Lucas Lopez sealed the victory for Marsaxlokk in the 67th minute, scoring his second goal of the match and their third, again heading in a Messias corner to secure a 3-1 win.
