Germany through to knockout stage with comfortable win

UEFA Euro 2024 -Group A

Goals from Jamal Musiala and İlkay Gündoğan ensured that Germany became the initial team to secure their spot in the knockout phase of UEFA EURO 2024. As they faced Hungary in Stuttgart, hosts Germany emerged victorious with two wins out of two in Group A, thanks to the aforementioned goals.

Germany’s second match proved to be more challenging compared to their 5-1 triumph over Scotland on Matchday 1. However, Julian Nagelsmann’s team displayed enough resilience and skill to secure three points, guaranteeing them a position as one of the best third-place finishers in the group stage.

Following a balanced start, Musiala became the first player in this tournament to score multiple goals. He added to his previous strike against Scotland by unleashing a powerful shot from close range, giving the hosts an early lead.
