Sasa Obradovic, Monaco coach, spoke after his team’s defeat in overtime against Partizan in the 12th round of the EuroLeague. Obradovic aimed to continue Monaco’s winning streak in the EuroLeague and move closer to the top. However, he was unsuccessful as Partizan emerged victorious in overtime with a score of 89-85.
“Congratulations to the opponent; they won. We also had a chance to break their resistance. When they are in the bonus, they use it perfectly, with Doužer and Naneli, against whom it is not easy to play. We will have to forget about this and focus on the next duel. The EuroLeague is undoubtedly more competitive; even the gap between second and 14th place has narrowed. Until the end, we won’t know who is where. Except for Real Madrid, which is dominant, much depends on the mood, double rounds, and health. We have the role of favorites for the playoffs, and we need to justify that,” said Sasa Obradovic.
He also commented on his gestures towards the fans at the end of the match.
“I don’t communicate with the fans; I wouldn’t allow myself to do that. Gestures are normal, whether towards the referee or the players; it is not a topic at all. How someone is received is different. I respect everyone; that’s the most important thing,” concluded Sasa Obradovic.
