Ajiboye, Wikstrom and Trapani October BOV Basketball Players of the Month

Hibernians forward Ayomide Ajiboye and Luxol guard Olivia Wikstrom have been voted the BOV Basketball Players of the Month for October 2025, while Depiro’s Alessio Trapani secured the top accolade in the BOV Men’s Amateur League.

Ajiboye, who stands at six feet five inches and hails from Chicago, delivered a dominant month for Hibernians as he helped push the team into the John Tabone Shield final. His standout performance arrived in the semi-final against Luxol, where he registered twenty-four points and shot a remarkable one hundred per cent from the field. Across October, he led the league in shooting efficiency with an impressive 73 per cent field goal accuracy and amassed a total of 67 points.

In the Women’s League, Luxol’s American guard Olivia Wikstrom emerged as the clear winner following a string of explosive displays. From Washington, Wikstrom averaged 32 points per game for a total of 96 points in October, while also playing an average of 37 minutes and 16 seconds per match. Her month included a standout 38-point effort against Athleta followed by a commanding 31-point game against Depiro. She also averaged 14.67 rebounds per match, securing her decisive edge for the award.

Depiro Hoops guard Alessio Trapani topped the BOV Men’s Amateur League awards after a consistent and influential month. Standing at five feet eleven inches, Trapani averaged twenty points per game and played 34.5 minutes on court. His 61 per cent shooting efficiency underlined his impact, with a season-best 25-point showing against Valletta Tamaraws and a solid 16 contribution against Luxol.
