Usain Bolt still holds the world records at 100 and 200 meters, and he is aware that since his retirement from athletics, there is no adequate successor.
The fastest man on the planet has taken athletics to a higher level. Many will agree that Bolt belongs to the category of athletes who have left an indelible mark throughout history, like Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, and Maradona.
“I mostly spend my time with my family. As for athletics, I’m not as dedicated to it as I’d like to be. I still try to stay up to date with current events. I am waiting for the response of the World Athletics Federation because I approached them since I want to make a significant contribution to the sport as long as it is desirable,’ said Bolt, and then added:
“After I retired, interest in running declined because my influence was huge. I believe that things will improve with time. Young talented athletes are growing up. I noticed that strong personalities are necessary for this sport and I hope that I will be able to contribute to its development.’
During his career, Bolt won everything. He is the only man in history who has combined three titles at the Olympic Games in the 100 and 200 meters. In addition, he was also a multiple world champion.
