Szczesny: I was scared

Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Tomasz Szczesny had to leave the field in the 42nd minute due to chest pain. Fortunately, after the match he found out that he was better.

At first glance, it didn’t seem like anything serious, but at one point the goalkeeper of the “old lady” asked for a change. He complained of chest pain, after which he left the game, and Perin stood between the posts.

“I was scared like never before, this has never happened to me. I couldn’t catch my breath at all and that worried me. I’m fine now, still a little groggy. They have done all the tests and everything seems to be fine.’

He joked about this situation, praising Mattia Perin, who had a great double save in the last minute of stoppage time.

“I saw what kind of shape Mattia was in and I complained about being tired, knowing what kind of intervention he would have in the last minute. Kudos to him, he showed that he has a big heart,’ concluded Szczesny.
