After the national team break, it was finally the turn of club football, and in the Premier League, a big derby between Arsenal and Liverpool is immediately on the program.
There was a lot of excitement over the past week, some national teams were thrilled while some played below all expectations.
Now follows a great fight in the strongest leagues across Europe. Perhaps the biggest fight is taking place in the Premier League, in which, after as many as the 11th round, we do not have a clear favorite for the title.
As many as five teams are at a distance of only six points, and today’s derby could reveal a lot to us, when it comes to the outcome of the further course of the elite English championship.
Arsenal will welcome their good old rival, Liverpool, at their stadium tonight.
The “gunners” were regretted from the very beginning of the season. The team led from the bench by Mikel Arteta had three defeats in the first three rounds, without scoring a goal.
Many thought that this would be another year to forget when it comes to the famous club from London, and then a kind of turnaround happened.
Arsenal have entered an incredible series since the painful defeat by Manchester City with the result 5: 0, which happened on August 28.
After the debacle, the “gunners” played ten games in which they did not feel the bitter taste of defeat.
Arsenal achieved as many as eight victories with two draws, which was enough to “jump” to a high fifth place with only two points behind its next rival, Liverpool.
On the other hand, Liverpool is playing changeably this season. Jurgen Klopp’s team mostly leaves the field with a positive result, but they made a few mistakes, which is completely atypical for them in previous years.
However, the “Reds” showed in the derby against Manchester United that they like when they play big games, which is why Arsenal would have to focus seriously, if they do not want to experience another inconvenience this season.
What is also characteristic for today’s derby, is that the coaches of both teams will have some problems putting together a team.
Mikel Arteta will certainly not be able to count on Granit Jack and Sead Kolasinac, while the Party is in question.
Jurgen Klopp has a somewhat more difficult task. The German will certainly not have Eliot, Firmino, Gomez and Jones at his disposal, while Henderson, Keita, Milner and Robertson are in question.
However, regardless of everything, a quality derby awaits us, which will be full of excitement.
Arsenal and Liverpool will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m.
