International tennis is returning to the Marsa Sports Club from 27 October to 2 November for the SoundMachine ITF M/W15 Malta Open powered by Samsung. This tournament is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour and will feature young tennis talents from around the world.
Both men’s and women’s $15,000 events (M15 and W15) will be held, with professional players competing for important ATP and WTA ranking points. Spectators can look forward to a week of exciting matches, with a mix of young up-and-coming players and experienced athletes.
This tournament is an important step for players aiming to reach the top levels of professional tennis. Many current Grand Slam players began their careers at this level.
Dr Marc Gingell Littlejohn, President of the Malta Tennis & Padel Federation, said: “Hosting this event is an important moment for tennis in Malta. We want to help our national players grow while giving Maltese fans the chance to enjoy top-level tennis. This is about growing the sport, inspiring young players, and showing that Malta can host professional international events.”
Players from Europe, Asia, the Americas, and other regions will compete in both singles and doubles. Maltese players will also take part, giving local fans a chance to cheer on homegrown talent.
The Marsa Sports Club, with its long history and great facilities, is the ideal place for such a tournament. It will offer a warm and lively setting for both players and fans.
The SoundMachine ITF M/W15 Malta Open will also include:
- Daily matches starting at 10:30 a.m.
- Free entry for spectators (except on Finals Day for non-members of MSC or MTPF)
- Family-friendly activities and entertainment
- A Tennis Open Day in partnership with BeActive SportMalta
The Malta Tennis & Padel Federation thanks all supporters and sponsors, including Visit Malta, SportMalta, Teamsport, Wamo, and Frank Salt Real Estate.
The tournament will end on Sunday, 2 November with the men’s and women’s finals. A special evening event at the club is planned for the Saturday before the finals, with more details to follow.
