Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is set to make her comeback this month after taking a 15-month break for maternity leave.

The Czech tennis player, who announced her pregnancy in January of the previous year, gave birth to her son Petr in July during the Wimbledon period. Kvitova will be participating in three tournaments in the United States, starting with the WTA 250 tournament in Austin, Texas from February 24th to March 2nd. After that, she will continue her return at the WTA 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami. In a video shared on Instagram, Kvitova expressed her excitement about getting back on the court and competing again.

Having previously won the All England Club title in 2011 and 2014, she also expressed her gratitude to her fans for their support and looked forward to embarking on this new journey. Prior to her break, Kvitova was ranked number two in the world and had claimed titles in Miami and Berlin in 2023.
