Barbora Krejcikova from the Czech Republic triumphed over Jasmine Paolini to clinch the Wimbledon title on Saturday, overcoming a strong resurgence by the Italian with a score of 6-2 2-6 6-4 on Centre Court.

The 31st-seeded Krejcikova demonstrated her expertise in the final set, serving exceptionally well to secure the Wimbledon crown, adding to her 2021 French Open victory.

Seventh seed Paolini had aimed to become the first Italian to win a Wimbledon singles title.
