The European Table Tennis Trophy organized by the MITTC Table Tennis Club kicked off at the Santa Clara College in Pembroke where the Maltese teams were in action.
In the men’s category, Marcozzi beat MITTC 3-2 while ASD Tennis Tavolo Santa Tecla Nulvi won 3-1 against HiTT Academy Tibhar.
The MITTC men’s team is made up of Daniel Bajada, Kim Taeyhun and Joan Masip while Gabriel Grixti, Conrad Puli and Luke Bonello make up HiTT Academy Tibhar.
In the women’s category, there were two identical 3-2 wins by MITTC over Quattro Mori and Muravera. This team is made up of Anthea Cutajar, Roaa Elnaghi and Styliani Tzaridou.
The participating teams are MITTC, HiTT, Muravera, ASD Tennistavolo Sassari, ASD Tennistavolo Norbello, ASD Marcozzi, Quattromori and the current champions Panathinaikos.
