The second race of the Cisk 0.0 Cross Country National Point Series, organised by the Malta Mountain Bike Association, took place on Sunday morning at Majjistral Park. Heavy overnight rain added to the intensity of the competition, making the course even more challenging.
In the Elite Category, Luke Borg secured his second consecutive victory, facing strong competition from Joaquin Rojas, who made his debut on the podium after competing in the 40+ Category last year. Completing the podium in third place was Mark Bonnici.
In the Women’s Category, Diana Muscat took the lead and won the race, followed closely by Fiona Tedesco, who delivered a strong performance to secure second place.
Robert Grech once again dominated the Sports Category, with Josmar Vella and Mantas Stockus finishing in second and third place, respectively.
The 40+ Category proved to be one of the most competitive of the day, with Liran Ben-Ari maintaining a comfortable lead throughout the race to emerge victorious. He was followed by Jeffrey Borg in second place and Alex Portelli in third.
In the 50+ Category, Stephen Grima delivered a commanding performance to claim victory, finishing ahead of Carmelo Abela and Mario Zammit.
The Boys’ U19 Category saw Ryan Gatt establish a strong lead to take first place. However, the battle for second place was an exciting one, with Josch Louro narrowly defeating Matthias Gauci by just one second.
The e-Bike Category was won by Bernard Sammut, followed by Paul Muscat in second place and Clint Sciberras in third.

In the Boys’ U15 Category, Neil Cassar emerged victorious, followed by Ethan Cumbo in second place and Isaac Buttigieg in third. In the Girls’ U15 Category, Nina Debono Curmi continued to show her consistency, defending her position against Kim Micallef Cann and Katie-Anne Vella Wood, who finished in second and third place, respectively.
The Boys’ U12 Category featured promising performances, with Kruiven Farrugia taking the win, followed by Andrew Spiteri in second place and Nolan Tabone in third. Zaliya Dimech was the sole participant in the Girls’ U12 Category.
Cisk 0.0 Lager is the official sponsor of the 2025 National Series. The third race of the series is scheduled for Sunday, 16th March, near Lippija Tower, Mgarr.
