This year’s ETTU Congress was held in Linz, Austria on Thursday 17th October 2024 with an endless agenda. This included the election for the post of the ETTU President, Vice President for finance, five Vice Presidents and the ITTF Council. Prior to the ETTU Congress, members were nominated by the ETTU Member Associations and later appointed by the newly elected Executive Board for a four-year term in several ETTU committees.
The Malta Table Tennis Association (MTTA) would like to announce that coach Mario Genovese, nominated for the coaches committee has been appointed to form part of the coaches committee. The latter being chaired by Delsante Emmanuele from Italy.
The other nominated member namely MOC Director Johanna Grech for the Gender Equality Committee, has been reappointed for the second subsequent term. The Gender Equality Committee chair is Heikkinen Esko from Finland. This was the third appointment of Ms Grech in an international position as in the past she was elected as a Technical Director in the Technical Commission of the ITTF.
The chairpersons assigned will lead the Committee, liaise with ETTU Executive Board and the General Secretariat, submit projects and budget drafts, organise webinar meetings, participate in event presentations and submit an annual report detailing the Committee’s activities, achievements and plans to the ETTU Congress.
The association congratulate both Mario Genovese and Johanna Grech for their successful achievements, enthusiasm and wish them a fruitful term.
