The two Maltese youngsters Thomas Sammut and Kyle Satariano had a good performance in the Malta Masters Youths during the International Darts Open held in our country last weekend.
Thomas Sammut even reached the final although he lost 5-3 against Francesco Basili of Italy. Despite the loss, Sammut gave a good game to the Italian player where he always stayed in the game until the end. In order to reach the final, Thomas Sammut eliminated Senne Locy 4-2 and Lljo Martins 4-3.
For his part, Kyle Satariano reached the semi-finals as he was defeated by the eventual winner Francesco Basili 4-0. Earlier he eliminated Cenzio Martins 4-1 and Luca Hessens 4-3.
Participating in this youth competition were also Riyaz Portelli, Xhin Gyzer, Geordie Zammit and Shaun Ciappara who lost their matches in the round of 16.
